    With pumpkin season upon us , these Pumpkin Bars with Raisins and Cream Cheese Frosting are perfect to have on hand. They are great for snacks, or dessert.     What Size Pan Do You Use to Make the Bars?

    I used a 10 x 15 inch pan. However, if you would like your bars to be thicker , a 9 x 13 inch cake pan will work.

    Do You Have to Frost the Bars?

    These bars are good with out frosting as well as with. Some prefer just powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar on top.

    What Could be Substituted for Raisins ?

    There are so many great options for add in with the pumpkin bars.
    Try- Chocolate Chips, White Chocolate Chips, Caramel Chips, Walnuts, or Pecans.

    How Should You Store Pumpkin Bars?

    With the cream cheese frosting, I choose to store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If you wont be using in 4-5 days, put in the freezer.

    How to Make Pumpkin Bars With Raisins and Cream Cheese Frosting :

    Ingredients Needed :

    • Flour
    • Baking Soda
    • Cinnamon
    • Pumpkin Pie Spice
    • Butter
    • Brown Sugar
    • Granulated Sugar
    • Canned Pumpkin
    • Eggs
    • Vanilla Extract
    • Raisins

    Cream Cheese Frosting :

    • Cream Cheese
    • Butter
    • Powdered Sugar
    • Vanilla Extract
    • Milk or Cream
    Ingredients for Pumpkin Bars

    Gather ingredients for your pumpkin bars.

    Whisk dry ingredients together. Flour, baking soda, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice.

    Mix wet ingredients together. Butter ,pumpkin, sugars, vanilla and eggs.

    Ingredients

    Pumpkin Bars

    • 2 cups all purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
    • 1 cup butter I use salted butter and eliminate actual salt
    • 1 cup raisins
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • ½ cup granulated sugar
    • 1 15oz. can pumpkin puree
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Cream Cheese Frosting

    • 1 8oz. block cream cheese softened
    • 4 tablespoons butter softened
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 3 cups powdered sugar
    • 3 tablespoons milk oe cream

    Instructions

    Pumpkin Bars

    • Pre-heat oven to 350° Spray 10 x 15 inch jelly roll pan or pan of choice
    • In a mixing bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice
    • In a separate large microwaveable bowl, melt butter in 30 second increments until melted. Cool for 2-3 minutes
    • Add to the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, pumpkin, eggs and vanilla extract. Mix well . (do not use electric mixer)
    • Add dry mixture into the wet ingredients. Mix well.
    • Fold raisins into mix
    • Pour batter into prepared pan. Spread evenly.
    • Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
    • Cool completely - 2-3 hours

    Cream Cheese Frosting

    • In a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese on medium high until smooth.
    • Add butter , vanilla extract , slowly add powdered sugar.
    • Add milk or cream and continue to beat until smooth
    • Spread evenly over pumpkin bars- sprinkle with cinnamon
