This dip is one of those foods that your family has been making for years, the ones that bring back lots of good memories. Memories of when my kids were little and my husband worked for a catering company. That job is where he first started making this Dried Beef with Dill Dip. There have been a couple of other recipes I shared that have sentimental meaningFluffy Watergate Salad Watermelon Fruit Basket and Moms Classic Macaroni Salad With Egg.
We have taken this Chipped Beef Dip With Dill to many a pot lucks. It is always a hit. Often we get a sourdough or rye round bread and hollow out the center making a bowl for the dip. Use the bread that came out of the center for dipping. However, this time I put the dip in a serving dish and cut up a baguette for dipping. Veggies or chips also go great with it. l
This time when I made the dip I served it to my hubby with pork rinds in order to keep it keto-friendly. I have seen many versions of this dip. Mine is pretty much a mix of several different ones. Some use sour cream mixed with mayo, I use sour cream mixed with cream cheese for a thicker consistency. All a matter of personal preference.
In addition to the sour cream, cream cheese, and dried beef you will need a few spices that you more than likely have in your pantry and your choice of bread.
