Copy Cat Chipotle Tomatillo Green-Chili Salsa is full of flavor and easy to make at home.
Copy Cat Chipotle Tomatillo Green-Chili Salsa
Chipolte is one of our favorite places to eat. All of their salsas are fantastic. I order the hot and the green salsa verde on everything I get there. We decided to experiment and see if we could duplicate their salsas. Starting with the Tomatillo Green-Chili Salsa.
In my opinion, this salsa came out great. It went great paired with the Easy Sheet Pan Fajitas that we recently shared on the blog.
To make copy Cat Chipotle Tomatillo Green-Chili Salsa you will need Tomatillos, (I used canned but fresh can also be used) Jalapeno Peppers,(I used fresh)Tomato, Garlic fresh or minced, Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Red Onion, Cilantro (fresh is best) Cumin, and Lime Juice. Although there are quite a few ingredients involved, this salsa is fairly easy to make. It all just gets thrown into a food processor and pulsed a few times.
I have also experimented with the copycat Chipolte guacamole. I’m not a fan of guacamole in any way shape or form, but my husband loves it. Next on my copycat Chipotle list will definitely be the hot salsa, it is my absolute favorite.
Next time you are making Mexican food at home, or even if you just are having chips and salsa for a snack, give this recipe a try. Let me know if you make any changes to the recipe and how it came out. Feel free to leave a comment and a rating on the post.
