Slow Cooker Red Mashed Potatoes are so easy to make. They don't even require peeling. Just throw everything in the slow cooker/crockpot, set the timer and go on about your day.

Slow Cooker Red Mashed Potatoes
Mashed Potatoes are probably my favorite thing about Thanksgiving. I absolutely love them. For years when we ate Thanksgiving dinner with my husband's extended family, I had an ongoing deal with his little brother. He would give me his mashed potatoes and I would give him my sweet potatoes -haha. I'm not fond of sweet potatoes.
This year I won't be running around at the last minute to get the potatoes mashed. Instead of making them on the stove, I will be making Slow Cooker Red Mashed Potatoes. All I have to do is throw a few ingredients in the crockpot.
What Do I Need To Make Slow Cooker Red Mashed Potatoes?
- Red Potatoes
- Chicken Broth
- Garlic
- Sour Cream
- Milk
- Chives
- Butter
How To Make Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes:
You can customize them just about however you’d like. Adding additional topping such as bacon, cheese or gravy But leave the basics to your slow cooker, throw everything in and leave it for 3-4 hrs on high. Here’s how to make ’em:
Chop up your potatoes (I use red skin on ) add to the slow cooker insert, add butter, chicken broth, and garlic. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hrs.
When potatoes are soft use a hand masher or an electric mixer to mash until smooth -add milk and sour cream -salt and pepper to taste - put in serving bowl - add more butter and chives for garnish.

Hi, I just saw your recipe on ducks in a row, then on my pinterest board. Thanks for following!
This recipe caught my eye. We've always whipped our red potatoes. I'm going to make the next batch in the crock pot.
