    Easy To Make Steak Salad

    This Easy to Make Steak Salad is excellent. Made with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions. Topped with green and red bell peppers and shredded mozzarella cheese. It is a perfect light lunch or dinner.

    With spring and summer coming it is the perfect time for making entrée style salads . This Easy to Make Steak Salad excellent and best if you use a better cut of meat. Rib eye or Top Sirloin steak are excellent choices. With a few spices and cooked to your preference -medium or medium rare for me. Served with Easy Creamy Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing Recipe, I think you will love this salad. However, if you are not a beef eater my recipe for Chicken Apple Pecan Salad is also excellent.

    How is the Steak Cooked ?

    I chose to cook the steak in a cast iron skillet. However, if you prefer to use the grill or cook it in the oven , they are both good options.

    Would another dressing work with this Steak Salad?

    Sure any dressing would taste awesome, if you are a ranch eater, that goes with anything.

    How to Make Easy To Make Steak Salad :

    Ingredients Needed :

    • Steak of Choice - (Rib Eye or Top Sirloin are great choices)
    • Olive Oil
    • Black Pepper
    • Garlic Powder
    • Paprika
    • Chili Powder
    • Italian Seasoning
    • Salt
    • Lettuce and Greens
    • Cucumber
    • Tomato
    • Green Pepper
    • Red Pepper
    • Red Onion
    • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
    • Creamy Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing or dressing of choice

    • Cast Iron Skillet
    • Cutting Board and Knife

    Ingredients

    Steak Rub

    • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
    • ½ teaspoon Salt
    • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
    • 1 tbsp. Chili Powder
    • 1 tsp. Paprika
    • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

    Salad

    • 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
    • 1 8oz. Steak Rib Eye or Sirloin
    • 2-3 cups Greens I used Iceberg and Spring Mix
    • 1 Tomato Wedged, Chopped
    • 6-8 slices Cucumber
    • ¼ Green Bell Pepper Sliced
    • ¼ Red Bell Pepper Sliced
    • ½ Red Onion Sliced
    • 4 oz. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
    • 4 oz. Creamy Balsamic Dressing or Dressing of Choice

    Instructions

    • Mix all spices together in bowl to make a rub
    • Take Steak Out of Refrigerator and Sprinkle Rub on Steak
    • Slice Steak
    • Slice Veggies
    • Heat Oil in Cast Iron Skillet - Cook Steak in Very Hot Oil , 3-4 Minutes on each side or until desired doneness. ( I love some pink in mine , however personal preference comes into play)
    • Remove from skillet and set aside
    • Assemble salad , put steak across the top , serve with dressing on the side.
