  • 1 Cake Mix Spice Cake
  • 1 Can (15 oz) Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 Large Egg

Pumpkin Butter Cream Frosting

  • ¾ cup Butter Softened
  • ¼ cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice Or a mixture of Cinnamon and nutmeg


  • For Donuts
  • Pre-Heat Oven to 425°
  • Spray the donut pan with food release
  • In a mixing bowl pour in the cake mix, stir in pumpkin puree and egg
  • I just mixed well with a wooden spoon ,electric mixer can be used if desired
  • Use a pastry bag and pipe or spoon into donut pan
  • Bake 8-10 minutes or until the donuts spring back when touched
  • Let the donuts cool at least 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack
  • When still Slightly warm frost donuts


  • In a mixer, add the softened butter and the pumpkin puree and mix until combine
  • Then add the powdered sugar.
  • Mix on a low speed until the butter/pumpkin mixture and the powdered sugar are combined
  • Add the vanilla and mix until combined.  Add Pumpkin Pie Spice or Cinnamon and Nutmeg
  • If Frosting is too stiff add a little milk 1 teaspoon at a time until desired consistency
