- 1 Cake Mix Spice Cake
- 1 Can (15 oz) Pumpkin Puree
- 1 Large Egg
Pumpkin Butter Cream Frosting
- ¾ cup Butter Softened
- ¼ cup Pumpkin Puree
- 3 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice Or a mixture of Cinnamon and nutmeg
For Donuts
Pre-Heat Oven to 425°
Spray the donut pan with food release
In a mixing bowl pour in the cake mix, stir in pumpkin puree and egg
I just mixed well with a wooden spoon ,electric mixer can be used if desired
Use a pastry bag and pipe or spoon into donut pan
Bake 8-10 minutes or until the donuts spring back when touched
Let the donuts cool at least 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack
When still Slightly warm frost donuts
Frosting
In a mixer, add the softened butter and the pumpkin puree and mix until combine
Then add the powdered sugar.
Mix on a low speed until the butter/pumpkin mixture and the powdered sugar are combined
Add the vanilla and mix until combined. Add Pumpkin Pie Spice or Cinnamon and Nutmeg
If Frosting is too stiff add a little milk 1 teaspoon at a time until desired consistency
