Ingredients

Apple Filling

  • 3-4 Medium Apples peeled and chopped
  • 2 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoon Melted Butter
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg

Crumbly Oat Topping

  • ¾ cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
  • ½ cup Cold Butter cubed

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350°
  • In a mixing bowl combine apple chunks, lemon juice, 2 Tbsp.. melted butter,2 Tbsps. flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside

Crumbly Oat Topping

  • In a separate bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, mix well. Cut in cold butter with pastry cutter.
  • In a well greased baking dish (8 x 8) pour apple topping in and spread out
  • Sprinkle oat topping over apples
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until apples are tender and topping is hot and bubbly.
  • Cool 10-15 minutes and serve
