Apple Filling
- 3-4 Medium Apples peeled and chopped
- 2 teaspoon Lemon Juice
- 2 Tablespoon Melted Butter
- ¼ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
Crumbly Oat Topping
- ¾ cup All Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
- ½ cup Cold Butter cubed
Pre-heat oven to 350°
In a mixing bowl combine apple chunks, lemon juice, 2 Tbsp.. melted butter,2 Tbsps. flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside
Crumbly Oat Topping
In a separate bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, mix well. Cut in cold butter with pastry cutter.
In a well greased baking dish (8 x 8) pour apple topping in and spread out
Sprinkle oat topping over apples
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until apples are tender and topping is hot and bubbly.
Cool 10-15 minutes and serve
