- 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- ½ cup Butter melted and cooled
- 1.5 cups Brown Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 2 cups Sweet Cherries pitted and halved
Preheat oven to 400° - Pit and slice cherries
Gather all your ingredients
Mix your dry ingredients together in a bowl (flour and baking powder)
In a separate bowl combine melted cooled butter and brown sugar.
When well combined , add in eggs and vanilla extract
Stir in the buttermilk
Combine the dry and wet ingredients
Stir in cherries
Using a scoop ,fill well greased muffin pan or liners (optional sugar sprinkled on top)
Bake at 400°for 12-16 minutes
Remove from oven ,when done in the middle. let sit for 5 minutes
Cool on cooling rack
Serve
